Research & Advocacy

Driving dignity through evidence and voice

We pair lived experience with research and advocacy — so that better care isn't just hoped for, but built, measured and championed.

Lewy Body Dementia

Championing awareness and better support for one of the most misunderstood and under-served forms of dementia in Australia.

Evidence-led tools

Working with researchers to ensure The Wendy Companion is grounded in best-practice dementia care, not guesswork.

Dignity advocacy

Amplifying the voices of carers and people living with dementia in policy, aged care and public conversation.

Our advocacy commitment

Dementia is now the second leading cause of death in Australia, yet carers remain under-supported and under-heard. We commit to keeping people living with dementia and their carers at the centre of every conversation — from the kitchen table to the halls of policy. Dignity is not optional.

Partner Spotlight

The Australian Dementia Network (ADNeT)

The Australian Dementia Network (ADNeT) is a collaborative initiative bringing together top researchers and scientists from 21 prominent institutions. Under the leadership of Professor Christopher Rowe, the network is dedicated to advancing dementia care and research through three core objectives.

Clinical Quality Registry

Creating Australia's first dedicated registry to monitor, benchmark and improve the standard of clinical care for dementia patients.

Standardised Memory Clinics

Developing consistent, evidence-based guidelines to unify and improve how dementia is diagnosed and treated across the country.

Clinical Trial Screening

Accelerating the discovery of new therapies by pre-screening and identifying suitable patients for medical trials.

ADNeT's vital work is funded and supported by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), Dementia Australia, The Wicking Trust and The Yulgilbar Foundation.
